Meet BWCAN College Adviser Malachi Perkins. Malachi is a Port Huron native and Port Huron Northern grad who’s now helping PHN Huskies plan their next step. He studied at Olivet Nazarene University and Heidelberg University, earning his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management.

What he enjoys most about college advising: “Knowing that I’m making a difference in my students’ lives. I love watching their plans and goals come together and seeing them gain confidence in their future. The best part is seeing the result of that support and watching them go off to pursue their goals and dreams. It’s really rewarding to know that I was able to play a small part in helping them get there.”

Help us congratulate Riley Alley and Brad Robbins on their new roles at St. Clair County RESA. Riley moves into the role of Associate Director of Early Childhood after nearly 15 years with SCCRESA. Most recently, she served as Early Childhood Coordinator, building partnerships that benefit the county’s youngest learners. As Associate Director of Education Services, Brad will focus on programs and services that help local districts improve teaching and learning. His 17-year career in education includes time as a teacher, coach, principal, and instructional services leader. He moves into his new role after serving as Assistant Director of Instructional Services for Career and Technical Education at St. Clair County TEC. #WeAreSCCRESA
