In the RTI framework, the instruction delivered to students varies based on the nature and severity of a student's difficulties.


RTI core principles:

I. We can effectively teach all children 

II. Intervene early through Universal Screening 

III. Use a Multi-tier Model of Service Delivery to support student learning

IV. Use a problem-solving method to make decisions 

V. Use research-based, scientifically validated interventions / instruction 

VI. Monitor student progress to inform instruction 

VII. Use data to make decisions

VIII. Use assessment for three different purposes
