The Education Technology group provides learning and teaching opportunities aligned to the curriculum guidelines, technical training, professional development and planning support for local school districts as they integrate technology at all levels. St. Clair County's Learning Net has established a videoconferening classroom in each high school in all seven public school districts. In addition, portable videoconferencing carts have been added to each district's middle and elementary school buildings. Shared classesEach year local districts team up to offer a variety of classes through videoconferencing. From foreign language to AP classes students and teachers learn together by utilizing this technology. Virtual field tripsStudents and teachers can visit museums, talk to experts and so much more by taking a field trip via videoconferencing. Participants in one location can see, hear, and interact with others in real time, even though they are miles apart. Thousands of activities are available! Online learningTV, radio, and video productionThe Education Technology department produces various educational television and radio programs as well as documentaries for use in our area schools. We are also available to help schools, write, shoot and edit their own productions. CD/DVD authoring/duplication servicesDuplication equipment is available to mass-produce CDs and DVDs as well as transfer projects from one format to another.
