Plan a Visit with Your Class

to the Pine River Nature Center

The Pine River Nature Center provides hands-on science education programs for St. Clair County schools.

School programs are offered Tuesday through Friday.

Half-day (9 to 11:30 a.m.) and full-day (9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) programs are available.  Start and end times are flexible.

All of the nature center's programs correlate with Michigan Standards and Benchmarks. More than two miles of trails allow students to observe nature through direct observation and experience.

Teachers may download the nature center's PDF DocumentSchool Programs Teacher's Guide for more detailed information in planning a visit. The guide details all rules and expectations. Teachers should be prepared to split classes into groups of 5 or 6 students with a chaperone to lead each group in an activity.
