Jennie Holladay

Digital Media Instructor

Holladay started her career as a producer and reporter at KOMU-NBC 8 in Columbia, Missouri and also produced television news at the Fox and CBS affiliates in Kansas City, Missouri. Holladay returned to Michigan in 2001 to work as a news producer at WDIV - Local 4. She began teaching the Digital Media Technology program at TEC in 2005.

 

Holladay continues to work in the television field as a freelance producer. She works at the North American International Auto Show, America's Thanksgiving Parade, and Arts, Beats and Eats among other events. Holladay also works alongside her husband producing short documentaries for their production company North 42 Media. In 2004, their documentary on the Port Huron to Mackinac Sailboat race was nominated for a Michigan Emmy.

 

Holladay loves working with students at TEC. She is also a SkillsUSA advisor, working with students after school to help them prepare for competitions. In 2007, Ms. Holladay's students won the state competition for Television Production and took 4th place in the National Competition in Kansas City. "The thing I like about teaching the most is watching my students grow in the digital media field. It is really exciting to see them produce quality work that they are proud of, and it's cool when other people recognize it too."
