Advanced training and education
Advanced education and training can be obtained from technical schools, apprenticeship programs, community colleges, and universities. Macomb Community College, Eastern Michigan University, Ferris State University, Michigan State University, and Western Michigan University are examples of educational institutions offering advanced education in construction. The Detroit Carpentry Joint Apprenticeship Committee, Plumbing Industry Training Center, Electrical Industry Training Center, Masonry Industry Training Center and local construction trade unions offer apprenticeship programs.
Articulation
Currently, TEC's Construction Trades program articulates college credit through SC4 and Macomb.
