Michigan announces '3-week pause' and stricter COVID restrictions

On Nov. 15, 2020, the administration of Governor Gretchen Whitmer issued new restrictions to slow the spread of COVID-19. The order suspends in-person learning and sports at high schools, closes dine-in service at restaurants and bars, steps up the requirement for remote work and shutters a variety of entertainment venues for the next three weeks. The order goes into effect Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020.

St. Clair TEC and the Next STEP Transition Program will pivot to remote learning for all students beginning Nov. 18.

Woodland will continue in-person learning for its special needs students as ordered by the governor. We will continue to monitor local data as we make future decisions regarding Woodland.

RESA's administration building will temporarily close for normal business on Nov. 18 and employees will work remotely. The main entrance will remain locked, but a staff member will be available at the reception desk for deliveries Mon-Thurs 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Fri 8:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. The RESA main number — 810-364-8990 — will continue to be answered during regular business hours and phone calls directed to the appropriate person.
